I am passionate about helping families thrive. I consider myself a wife and mom, first and foremost. My husband and I have been married almost 20 years and we have three adorable boys, ages 8 and 4… Yep, twins. I wouldn’t change my life as a mom and wife for anything in the world. Becoming a mother also led me to want to work with other mothers; especially those struggling with infertility, postpartum mood issues and anxiety. Having a baby changes your life! Sometimes you need help adjusting to the changes that can happen when you become a parent. That’s my job, to come along side you and journey with you while you find your way.
I am a member of Postpartum Support International and am passionate about maternal mental health. My areas of specialty are postpartum issues, grief and loss, parenting, self-esteem, and personal growth. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly effective trauma therapy. EMDR can also be used to treat anxiety or depression. I also offer play therapy, EMDR, and expressive therapy to children and teens.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor who graduated from Ashland University in 2006. I graduated with a degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. In the past I have worked with at-risk children, adolescents and families in urban environments as well as in private practice.
